Bacon Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups of cheddar
  • 5 slices thick sliced bacon
  • 3 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup elbow noodles
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

Boil noodles al dente about 10 minutes. Drain set aside.

Chop bacon cook until crisp, remove set aside

Leave about 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the pan add onions, a pinch of salt, cook for 4 minutes.

Melt butter add flour to start the roux. Incorporate all the flour into the butter.

Slowly whisk in milk. Add salt and pepper.

Add cheese and bacon. Add drained noodles. Mix well.

Pour into a baking dish bake. Place into a 375-degree pre-heated oven for 30 minutes.
