Lemon Pepper Chicken Leg QuartersPrint Recipe
- 4 chicken leg quarters
- 2 lemons
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
For the marinade
Zest 1 lemon juice both lemons.
In a large resealable bag add lemon zest, lemon juice, seasoning, and olive oil.
Add chicken to bag, seal, and move the bag around to coat all of the chicken with the marinade.
Remove any excess skin from chicken
Let marinate for at least 2 hours. Overnight is best.
For the chicken
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F
On the stove-top using an oven safe skillet remove chicken from the bag sear skin down over high heat.
Let sear for 5 to 8 minutes.
Flip chicken over add liquid from marinade to the skillet.
Place skillet in the oven.
Bake for 1 hour.
Let chicken rest for 10 minutes before serving.
