Ingredients

  • French Toast
  • 8-10 slices of bread
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • 3 eggs
  • ¼ cup of cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • Pecan Topping
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans
  • ½ maple syrup

Mix pumpkin with spices and vanilla.

Whisk egg, cream, and puree

Heat griddle on low to medium heat and spray with nonstick spray

Dip bread into batter. Cook each slice for 3-4 minutes per side

Topping

Melt butter over medium heat add pecans cook for 10 minutes. Add syrup and cook for additional 5 minutes

Notes

Taste the pumpkin mixture to see if you would like it sweeter then add an extra half tablespoon of brown sugar
