Shepherd’s Pie

shepherd's pie with ground beef

Ingredients

  • 2- 3 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • Sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • ½ cup of frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • ½ tablespoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ black pepper

Instructions

Cook ground beef until brown.

Add onions, salt and pepper, cook for 5 minutes. Add flour.

Once the flour absorbs the oil add cumin, stock & Worcestershire sauce.

Add frozen vegetables.

Place mixture in baking dish.

Cover with mashed potatoes and cheese.

In 350 degree oven bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
